Welcome to the 26th issue of “Figure Modelling” in Mr Black Publications’ Scale Model Handbook series and the 49th book we’ve published so far. Twenty six of our titles have covered figure modelling, three are about modelling dioramas, five are the popular “Modelling the Second World War” specials, a further nine are in our new “Theme Collection Special Edition Series”, two are in the “Painting Guide Series”, one in the “How to” guides, two in the “Scale Modelling Manual Series” and finally, the “Lifecolor Painting Guide Vol.1”.

This time we’ve included seven articles about figure modelling, all written by the well-known master artist Ernesto Reyes Stalhuth, which is a small tribute to him and we hope you will like it. As Ernesto paints mainly busts here, you can read how he painted seven different themes. You’ll discover how to paint different flesh shades and different materials such as leathers, wood, fabrics, helmets, weapons, the various metals (including how to use the “non-metallic metals” technique) and there’s even a fantasy subject!
