Alas Sobre Espana No 52: De Havilland DH-9A

ALAS SOBRE ESPANA Series, book No 52: De Havilland DH-9A - Napiers e Hispanos

To re-equip the Military Aviation after the Great War and to deal with the problems that were accumulating in the protectorate of northern Morocco, Spain not only acquired several surplus aircraft of the DH-9 model directly from Great Britain, but also manufactured it under license.

The first ones were equipped with Napier Lion engines, fought in the protectorate, giving magnificent performance, with a armament capacity, reliability and autonomy far superior to the rest of the aircraft used there.
