In the fall of 2010, shortly before the completion of volume 28 on the Maultier, we decided not to include the Panzerwerfer in volume 28 in order to maintain our normal page count of 160 pages per volume; moreover, it was a weapon vehicle and not a pure "mule" for transporting loads. As the subject of the Panzerwerfer is very interesting, it was decided to cover this device in another volume of Nuts & Bolts, especially as much of the necessary work had already been completed by this time. Originally, we didn't think we could fill an entire volume of 160 pages with this topic. However, we are proud to announce Nuts & Bolts Vol. 30 - at 208 pages, the most comprehensive volume in our series to date! This is because we have decided to include not only the Panzerwerfer with its highly interesting history, but also the towed Nebelwerfer. It is amazing that our team of authors was able to uncover so much new and previously thought lost information on all aspects of these devices.
